Forests and seeds.

Welcome to our continuing study of animals and their habitats.

In the role play corner we have a camp site set up where the children can experience being out in the grasslands where they have to live in tents and cook on campfires. We have lanterns, binoculars, a camera and a note clipboard for them.

 Cooking on the campfire.

  Cutting firewood.

Sleeping in the tent with the lanterns.

Looking for animals.

Taking photos and writing notes.

Being eaten by a Boa Constrictor.

This is a poem written by Shel Silverstein which we use as part of the fun of learning.

After our Boa Constrictor has eaten we let him sleep in the number basket for a while.

Growing plants.

I asked the children what they would like to grow in our garden and they said they would like flowers. So we have all planted a range of different flower seeds and they have started to sprout. When they are a little bigger we will plant them in our classroom garden beds.

Book Day

We were visited by the Year 5 children who shared books we chose and then stayed to play with us. So much fun.
